Yes. Maximum distance achieved (only distance) was 29.5 inches

yes, we added length with our scrap wood.

Nope

4. If you could have had access to materials that were different than those provided, what would your team have requested? Why?
Accurate laser, 3-d printer. They would absolutely help

Yes, things do not always go the way they have been planned. An engineer is made to adapt

It would have a larger base to support the counter balance mass

Nope

9. How might you measure the maximum height your trebuchet could launch a marshmallow? Try it!

by graphing its function.actually, i dont think there is a maximum height. If the mass of the counter weight could be infinite, so would the height and distance it was projected (assuming the trebuchet could withstand the mass of infinity)

10. What drawback and advantages does the trebuchet have in battle?

It is primitive, can be easily destroyed, is inaccurate, it sucks.

Define the following terms and how to enable them.
Trim: Trims off the end of a line or curve by an intersection point. Start trim command and click the line you want to trim from and then click on the part of the line that you want to trim.

Split: Splits an object through the point selected. Just select split and make your selected split
Loft: Takes two planar objects and makes a surface between them, thus creating an open shape in space. Start loft command , select curves to use.
Join: Takes lines and curves that are in contact with each other and joins them together. Select all points to join, start join command
Fillet: Takes a "corner"and turns it into a rounded curve. Fillet command, select two lines that meet at corner
Chamfer: Trims lines and creates a line between their new endpoints, connecting each other. Just do it, chamfer command, type x,y, enter, then select first and second cut-connect lines

Yes. I changed my design to be more aesthetically appealing and have less mass/material

Yes. Sometimes they come across a situation during construction that they hadn't planned on.
7. If you had to do it all over again, how would your planned design change? Why?

I would remove my aesthetics from the bridge and make it basically the same as my first bridge, it withstood more than twice the amount of pumps

8. What designs or methods did you see others try that you thought worked well?

Stacking strips of wood on top of each other

9. What sort of trade-offs do you think engineers make between functionality, safety, and
aesthetics when building a real bridge?

They try to use as little material with the lowest cost possible while being just above the strength required to support the bridge's intended load of traffic
